Terms & Conditions

ARD Bakery – Bespoke Wedding Cakes, Celebration Cakes & Chocolates

These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with ARD Bakery. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.

 

1. Definitions

  • We / Us / Our refers to ARD Bakery.

  • Client / You refers to the person placing the order.

  • Products refers to cakes, chocolates, and all other items supplied by ARD Bakery.

2. Orders & Booking Wedding & Bespoke Cake Orders

  • A non-refundable booking fee of £100 is required to secure your wedding date.

  • Your date is not confirmed until the booking fee has been received.

  • Final balance is due no later than 6 weeks before the event date.

  • Late payments may result in cancellation of your order.

Celebration Cakes & Chocolate Orders

  • A non-refundable booking fee of £50 is required to secure your date.

  • Final balance is due no later than 1 week before the event date.

  • Orders are subject to availability and production capacity.

3. Design & Consultation

  • All bespoke designs are created specifically for each client.

  • Final designs are confirmed once the booking fee has been paid.

  • Minor design adjustments may be possible, subject to time and feasibility.

  • ARD Bakery retains creative control to ensure structural stability, food safety, and design integrity.

4. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and are subject to change.

  • Final pricing may vary based on design complexity, size, and additional elements.

  • Any changes requested after the design has been agreed may incur additional charges.

5. Cancellations & Refunds Wedding Cakes

  • The booking fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • Cancellations made more than 6 weeks before the event will not require payment of the remaining balance.

  • Cancellations within 6 weeks of the event date require full payment of the remaining balance.

Celebration Cakes & Chocolates

  • Orders cancelled within 7 days of collection or delivery are non-refundable.

​

6. Changes to Orders

  • Changes to design, size, or flavours must be requested no later than 6 weeks before the event.

  • Any changes after this point may not be possible and may incur additional charges.

7. Allergens & Dietary Requirements

  • Our kitchen handles gluten, dairy, nuts, eggs, soy, and other allergens.

  • While we take care to minimise cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee allergen-free products.

  • It is your responsibility to inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements at the time of ordering.

8. Delivery & Setup

  • Delivery and setup fees are quoted separately based on distance, access, and complexity.

  • Someone must be present at the venue to receive the delivery if required.

  • Once the cake is delivered and set up, responsibility passes to the venue or client.

  • We are not responsible for damage caused by poor storage, extreme temperatures, unstable surfaces, or guest interference.

9. Cake Stands & Equipment

  • Any hired stands or equipment remain the property of ARD Bakery.

  • Stands must be returned within 7 days of the event date unless otherwise agreed.

  • Late or damaged returns may incur replacement charges.

10. Photography & Marketing

  • ARD Bakery retains the right to photograph all products and use images for portfolio, website, social media, and marketing purposes.

  • If you prefer your cake not to be used for marketing, please notify us in writing prior to delivery.

11. Force Majeure

We cannot be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Extreme weather

  • Transport disruption

  • Illness

  • Natural disasters

  • Government restrictions

In such cases, liability will be limited to a refund of monies paid, excluding the non-refundable booking fee.

12. Complaints & Refund Policy

  • Any concerns must be raised within 24 hours of delivery or collection.

  • Due to the perishable nature of our products, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.

​

13. Data Protection

  • Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • We do not share customer information with third parties.

​

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Scottish law, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
